Record revision history

You can view the curation history of a record in bibedit by clicking ‘History’ in the  box on the left side of the page. This will open a list of all the times a record was edited by a cataloguer or script, including the date and time. If the changes were made by a cataloguer, their username will be displayed in the history.

Next to each version are three green arrows. The first arrow bibedit53 will merge the the current version with a selected previous one. The second arrow bibedit54 will compare the current version with the selected previous version. The third green arrow bibedit55  will revert to the selected previous version.

When you click the second green arrow bibedit54, a new tab will open comparing the two versions of the record. Text in green shows metadata of the current version that was missing in the previous version. Text in red shows metadata that was in the previous version but has been deleted in the current version.
